The Romanian operators present at this fair estimate, for this year, an increase in the number of Israeli tourists who will visit Romania, in the context in which they become increasingly interested in new destinations. At the same time, recent years have seen an evolution in the profile of the Israeli tourist visiting Romania, from those who had personal ties with Romania, to tourists interested in certain types of tourism that can be offered on favourable terms in our country: tours, adventure tourism, spa tourism, city-break. Israeli tourists chose Romania to spend their holidays due to the variety of tourism attractions, proximity, the fact that it is a safe country and the prices adapted to the quality of the services provided. The International Mediterranean Tourism Market is a tourism event addressed both to specialists and to the large public, where Romania has been participating for 16 consecutive years. This year the fair brings together exhibitors from 25 countries, and the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism is present with a 66-sqm stand hosting eight Romanian tour operators. The fair takes place in the period preceding the appearance of the tour operators` sales catalogues. This is an adequate opportunity for the participating Romanian companies to establish new contacts and conclude commercial transactions, but also for the Romanian offers to reach the consumer directly. |
