The National Infrastructure Development Programme is a programme of public investment in infrastructure approved by Government Emergency Ordinance 105/2010. The programme corresponds to the commitments in the Governing Plan and the obligations incumbent upon Romania under the Treaty of Accession, the chapter on environment. The conception of this programme started from the acute need of public infrastructure felt in many parts of the country and from the fact that the European funds allocated to Romania for the programming period 2007-2013 period proved to be insufficient against the large number of projects ready for this kind of works. The programme will run during the period 2011 - 2015 and the payment of the works will be made until 2020. The programme consists of six sub-programs managed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism (the first 4) and the Ministry of Environment and Forests (the next 2):
