Presentation of the housing construction programmes carried out by the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism

The Government’s housing strategy is aimed at improving the living conditions by ensuring access to decent housing for Romanian citizens, through the development of social housing construction programmes or of programmes that have a social character, meant at aiding the categories of low-income people, especially young people, thus achieving stability for young specialists.

It also addresses the need to provide housing for tenants evicted from nationalised houses. On the basis of an own methodology, there were submitted a proposal for defining vulnerability in terms of housing, which are to receive legal status, as well as an IT application for recording and reporting the situation of the homeless persons, in order to substantiate the social housing programmes.
